My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a wonderful series and I’m thrilled beyond belief that I was able to review A Ghostly Mortality for the blog tour. This is the 6th book in the Ghostly Southern Mystery series. Emma Lee Raines suffers from the “Funeral Trauma” and can see the ghost of those that have been murdered. She is a Betweener that helps the ghosts get closer and move on toward the light.

This installment picks up right where A Ghostly Reunion ends. Emma see’s her sister, Charlotte Rae, not knowing that she is a ghost. Even though i’ve never really been a fan of Charlotte Rae, I feel for Emma Lee when she finally realizes that her sister is a ghost. Quickly after, the antics and humor pick up. Emma Lee is one of my favorite characters, but Granny is an absolute HOOT!!! She does not disappoint with her behavior in this story. Seems like every story she likes to take it up a notch. You never can tell what that woman will be up to.

Along with most of the regular characters from the series, we have a visit from a couple of noticeably absent characters. Emma Lee’s parents finally make it home. I hope we get to see more of them in future installments. I’d really like to get to know them.

Be sure to stop by Tonya’s website to check out all of her books. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed.
